ARCADE | Print: Hold Me Campaign
This Print: Hold Me Campaign project was for ARCADE, an architecture and design company needing to gain more reception and marketing through the celebration and honoring of print. It also was a group university project where I was in charge of creating a mockup calendar of events and an activity for the campaign to honor how far print has come. For these designs, my group and I were inspired to do Valentine’s themed campaign work.
My process:
research, meetings with the clients, notes, inquires, emails, group meetings, delegating tasks, designing on Adobe Illustrator with ARCADE logo assets, and incorporating assets from my group members for the final calendar product.
This calendar was designed by myself from typography, grid system, mockup events, and gathering the texture background and heart sticker assets from my group members to include in the design process.
This Print: Hold Me activity sheet is the back side of the calendar events that is meant to inspire people to repurpose old prints and give it a new life through the art of paper folding. I designed this myself through research, Adobe Illustrator and maintained the typeface to keep everything cohesive with visual elements.
My process:
researched tutorials on how to fold this origami, took notes, used Adobe Illustrator design, typography, layout, and writing skills
Typography: Type Specimen
This Type Specimen project was conducted by hand through typesetting, followed by letterpress printing at Pacific Lutheran University. The typeface used is: Bruce No.846 along with supplementary stamps arranged for a cohesive presentation with the alphabet, numbers, and symbols included.
My process:
research, finding a typeface, searching for stamps learning the history, kerning, leading, layout, design typesetting, proofing, and letter press printing at Pacific Lutheran University.
Wild Society Brochure Design
This Wild Society Brochure is a university project that focuses on typography, a grid system, and being informational about Wild Society as a non-profit organization based in Kitsap County, WA.
My process:
research, understanding the organization along with their mission, hierarchy, image procurement, designing on a grid system and ideation through Adobe InDesign with images from Unsplash.
WCP Solutions 90th Anniversary Coaster Project
This university coaster project was completed for a company based in Seattle known as WCP Solutions. They provide many paper materials and supplies for customers and were established back in 1930s. To celebrate their 90th Anniversary, my classmates and I were tasked to create and design our own set of coasters for them to distribute in celebration.
My process:
Research on WCP Solutions, find set typefaces, ornaments, and stamps to design with. Afterwards, I set the type and arranged everything with kerning and leading for a cohesive feel and look that I felt demonstrates the company and celebrates their 90th Anniversary.
